Rate limits and quotas
Two independent limits, both reported on every successful response.
Two limits
A per-minute rate limit protects burst capacity and is evaluated per API key. A monthly request quota governs billing and is evaluated per subscription. Exhausting either answers 429, but with a different error code so you can react correctly.

Cache before you scale
This data changes rarely. Respecting the cache headers, or keeping a local copy refreshed daily, will keep almost any application inside a low plan tier.
